Arcata, California and Humboldt State University

I attended Humboldt State University for three years.
Then known as Humboldt State College -- HSC

I lived at home and commuted 15 miles each way.

HSC was world renowned as a wildlife and forest
management school with many foreign students
enrolled in those areas.

It has become quite the art college now.

In the center of old Arcata, is the town plaza.

At Christmas time, they light up the square with holiday
lights.  They used colored lights that mounted in
standard lamp sockets.  So naturally, we borrowed
a few of the red ones to place in the porch lights
of some people we wanted to harrass.

Arcata is the tie-dyed capital of the world.
