Time for a ReDo of My Front Yard
September - October 2022

It had been many difficult, dry years for the front yard.
The grass was clearly suffering from restricted watering due to drought,
And tired, nutrient poor, hard-packed soil.  This further was exaspirated benign neglect.
I had come to think of the lawn as more a burden than a joy.  What do I need a lawn for anyway?

Building the First Box
The 2nd & 3rd Boxes
The 4th & 5th Boxes
Adding Ground Cover
Drip Irrigation
I decided on a complete Replacement of My Front Yard. What do I want?
I thought of native plants, but that always seems to look rather chaotic to me.

I needed to establish some criteria:

It must be Neat, Not Messy, Low Maintenance, Low Water Requirements
It must support the growing and Display of Pretty Seasonal Flowers.
And, importantly, must support my various Holiday Decoration Displays

Speaking of which, it was already late September and I wanted the work to be
sufficiently completed
in time for me to put up my 2022 Halloween Displays

By Early Spring 2023 the front yard was looking pretty good
